With the arrival of good weather also comes the arrival of motorcycle routes, the most economical and liberating therapy for which we only need a motorcycle, a good equipment with protections, and, why not, a group of good friends.
We chose the last Saturday of February to inaugurate the season of routes with an outing that started early in the morning at the facilities of Servihonda Barcelona -in Llull street 47 of Barcelona- with a good breakfast while we waited for everyone to arrive.
Tanks full, keys delivered and everyone equipped, we started to leave in groups according to level and, accompanied by our guides, we headed to Sant Llorenç Savall, where a good grilled lunch awaited us, but it could not be so easy … our companions would have to earn it by first following the route we had prepared for them.
Having successfully overcome the hardest part – leaving the city – we entered the road that crosses the Natural Park of Sant Llorenç del Munt by Matadepera in the direction of Talamanca through the well-known Coll d’Estenalles, a road with good asphalt, good curves and good views.
Arriving at Talamanca we continue towards Navarcles, heading to Calders to face the last stretch of curves and counter-curves, which would lead us to our reward in Sant Llorenç Savall.
The Restaurant El Caliu welcomed us as if we were family, next to its grill where all kinds of delicacies were continuously coming out to give us strength to return to the starting point, where our special guest, Anna43, would give us some tips to improve our position on the bike… but we will tell you this in another publication.
The day passed without incident, accompanied by unbeatable weather, sunshine and mild temperatures, uncongested roads and many smiles.
