DCT or manual transmission in your Honda? Find out which one is for you

Honda revolutionized the way we drive with its innovative DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) system. Unlike the traditional manual transmission, where the driver must operate the clutch and shift gears with the foot, the DCT system does it for you, automatically or semi-automatically.

The key to the DCT is that it uses two independent clutches: one for odd-numbered gears (1st, 3rd, 5th) and one for even-numbered gears (2nd, 4th, 6th). This allows smooth, quick and jerk-free gear changes, resulting in a more comfortable and efficient driving experience, especially in the city or on long journeys.

And what advantages does it have over a manual gearbox? Mainly, comfort and ease of use. You don’t need to worry about the clutch in traffic jams or traffic circles. But it also gives the rider a choice: you can let the bike shift by itself or control the gears from the handlebar triggers.

On the other hand, the models with manual gearbox are still ideal for those who love traditional driving, who enjoy feeling each gear and deciding the exact moment to shift.
