Montesa Cota 301RR: Tricolor Design Inspired by HRC
The Montesa Cota 301RR continues to be the crown jewel. Its excellence in components is complemented by a new design. Montesa’s flagship model will keep two color options: the new “Fighting Red”, which replaces the previous “Atmosphere Blue Metallic”. This new decoration exhibits a reticulated texture in red, blue and white, creating a matte effect. The fusion of these colors together with the stickers on the wheels creates a raw and exclusive look, inspired by HRC’s spectacular tricolor style. The green bars highlight the personality of this race-oriented machine. In addition, the Cota 301RR will also be available in the “Race Replica” livery, which resembles Toni Bou’s world champion bike, with an updated design that highlights the red bars.
Among the improvements for the 2024 model, the new machined and anodized forging stands out, in titanium gray, which is lighter and more resistant, based on competition experience.
The 301RR is the most powerful Cota produced in series, designed for competition, as suggested by its name “RR” (Race Ready). This model takes the proven experience of the competition machines used by Montesa riders in the Trial World Championship and adopts most of its components and technical solutions.
The Cota 301RR retains its solid, high-performance aluminum frame and swingarm. It is also equipped with lobe brake discs used by competition machines on both axles, improving braking power. In addition, it has aluminum machined wheel hubs to reduce weight, just like the Montesa World Trial bikes. It incorporates an aluminum silencer to increase resistance and improve performance.
Montesa Cota 4RT260R: Disseny Renovat
The Cota 4RT260R is presented with a new decoration in red, black and gray. This elegant decoration has a matte effect and is combined with a black anodized xassis and graphics in gray and red, which enhance the Montesa identity. The newly added red bar provides a fresh look for the Cota. As with the Cota 301RR, the design of the high-strength adhesives has been updated to better protect the part of the frame that comes into contact with the canisters. New wheel stickers have been added to complete the look. In addition, the Cota 260R includes a new handlebar and grips in its riding position.
The Cota 4RT260R is equipped with high quality components, similar to the Cota 301RR, and has a complete set of top quality Showa suspensions on both axles.
Montesa 4RIDE 2024: New Suspension and Design Details
For the popular 4RIDE, oriented to trial touring, the stylistic aspects of the 2023 model have been maintained. However, some of the improvements of the Cota 4RT260R have been adopted, such as the new handlebars and grips. The most important new feature for the 4RIDE is the addition of a new R16V front suspension adjustable in preload and extension.
It should be noted that the entire Montesa range is manufactured at the modern Montesa Honda facilities in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, Barcelona, guaranteeing high levels of quality in all production processes, from the assembly of the engine to the manufacture of the aluminum xassis, the fuel tank and the swingarm.
