With the arrival of the good weather also come the motorcycle routes, the most economical and liberating terrain for which we only need a motorcycle, a good equipment with protections, and, why not, a group of good friends.
We chose the last Saturday of February to inaugurate the season of routes with a ride that started early in the morning at the facilities of Servihonda Barcelona – at Llull street 47 of the city – with a good lunch while we waited for everyone to arrive.
With our full sets of equipment, full of enthusiasm and everyone well equipped, we started to leave in groups according to level and, accompanied by our guides, we headed to Sant Llorenç Savall, where a good grilled meat was waiting for us, but it could not be so easy… our companions would have to earn it by following the route we had prepared for them first.
Having successfully overcome the hardest part – leaving the city – we enter the road that goes through the Natural Park of Sant Llorenç del Munt through Matadepera in the direction of Talamanca along the well-known Coll d’Estenalles, a road with good asphalt, good turns and nice views.
Arriving at Talamanca we followed the direction of Navarcles, heading towards Calders to face the last stretch of twists and turns, which will take us to our reward at Sant Llorenç Savall.
The Restaurant El Caliu welcomed us as if we were family, next to its grill from where all kinds of delicacies were continuously coming out, giving us strength to return to the starting point, where our special guest, Anna43, would give us some advice to improve our position on the bike… but we will explain that in another publication.
The day went by without incidents, accompanied by an excellent weather, sun and mild temperatures, uncongested roads and lots of sleep.
