WHAT SHOULD I CHECK BEFORE I GO ON A TRIP WITH MY MOTORCYCLE?
Motorcycle is synonymous with adventure, and with the summer, longer days and good weather, we feel like escapades, trips, vacations and endless routes, but we cannot forget that the motorcycle also needs a little love, from time to time, to be able to offer us the best of itself.
Before embarking on a trip with our motorcycle, it is advisable that we give it a good check-up to be sure that everything is in order to avoid foreseeable incidents in our adventure.
For this reason, it is highly recommended that we review the information well in advance:
- The state of wear of the tires, as well as to check, before leaving, their pressure. In case we detect advanced wear or any anomaly, it is advisable to go to the workshop and replace them before leaving.
- The level of the different fluids (oil, coolant and brake fluid), as well as checking that there are no leaks in any of the circuits. It is also advisable that, in case we are going to travel many kilometers, or if the next service is due soon, we go to our trusted workshop to perform the corresponding maintenance before leaving on our trip, to do so with the motorcycle in optimal conditions.
- We must also check the condition of the brake pads (we tell you about it here).
- We cannot forget to check the condition of the transmission kit (we told you about it here) as well as to clean, grease and, if necessary, tighten its chain. This will make driving smoother and safer.
